Web Design

The Kearney Time Machine

In the spring of 2016, I worked as an intern at Hollman Media. Being in the field and getting real experience helped me grow in ways that school couldn't. Over the course of the internship, I designed the webpage, it's structure, the logo, and graphics for a website called the Kearney Time Machine. The website works with Google API to overlay old maps of Kearney onto a modern Google Earth image to show people how the city used to look, as well as giving them historic information about the time period of the map. You can visit the Kearney Time Machine here.

Undergraduate Research

Between January 2016 and May of 2017 I combined two of my passion into one Undergraduate Research project. I am really passionate about the Earth and going green, and I wanted to use my skills in Web Design to try to help the environment. My study focuses on the question, "Why do some college students recycle, and others don't?" I created a survey for UNK students to try to solve this question. Using my survey results, I created an interactive website with the goal of reaching the audience that needed it: college students. For this project, I coded all of the HTML and CSS, created all of the graphics, and coded most of the JavaScript. Take a look at the website here.

Personal Website

I created this personal website to display a little bit more about me, and what I hope to accomplish. Being one of my earlier Web Design projects, I learned a substantial amount while creating this website. I coded all of the HTML, CSS, and created all of the graphics. My personal website is located here.

Eva Therapy Services

Eva Dawson, a comprehensive physical and mental therapist came to me in the Spring of 2018 looking to have a website made to better showcase her services. The static, yet elegant website fit all of her needs in a cost effective package. After the website was completed, I assisted a group of students from the nearby college on how to add other features to her website under Eva's direction.
